Best HDFC Bank Credit Cards 2026

HDFC has a card for almost everyone — from the entry-level Millennia to the invite-only Infinia. Here's which HDFC card actually fits you in 2026.

HDFC Bank issues more credit cards than any other lender in India, which is exactly why people get stuck choosing. The honest shortlist: get the Millennia if you spend mostly online, chase the Regalia Gold if you travel and dine out, and only think about Infinia or Diners Club Black once your income clears their bar. Everything else is a variation on those.

Best HDFC card for beginners

If this is your first HDFC card or your income is on the lower side, the Millennia is the sensible start. It's effectively a flat online-cashback card with a fee you can wipe out by hitting an annual spend target. It won't dazzle a points geek, but it pays you back on the spends most people actually make — Amazon, Flipkart, Swiggy, Zomato.

Best for cashback: Millennia

The Millennia's pitch is 5% back on a set of popular online merchants (capped monthly) and a smaller flat rate elsewhere. The cap is the catch — once you've hit it, you're earning the base rate, so it rewards regular-but-not-extreme online spending. Treat the 5% as a nice bonus on your first chunk of monthly spend, not a rate you'll earn on everything.

Best premium: Infinia and Diners Club Black

This is where HDFC gets genuinely strong. Through the SmartBuy portal, the Diners Club Black can hit eye-watering effective reward rates on travel and gift-voucher redemptions, and Infinia adds unlimited Priority Pass lounge visits and concierge. But these are high-income, high-spend cards — if you won't use the lounges, the travel portal and the spend-based fee waiver, the annual fee is dead weight. Don't buy a premium card for the flex.

Best for travel and rewards: Regalia Gold

For most upper-mid earners, Regalia Gold is the value sweet spot: international lounge access via Priority Pass, solid reward points, and a fee you can offset. It's the card I'd point a salaried traveller toward before they over-reach for Infinia.

Eligibility and minimum salary

Entry cards open up from roughly ₹25,000–35,000 monthly income; Regalia-tier wants more; Infinia and Diners Black are effectively for high earners or strong existing-relationship customers. Your CIBIL score (aim 750+) and income both matter — see those guides for the numbers, and our methodology for how we score cards.

Who should skip HDFC's premium cards

If you don't travel, don't use lounges, and won't hit the spend thresholds, the premium fees swallow the rewards. Stick with Millennia or a lifetime-free card and put the saved fee toward your actual goals.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best HDFC credit card for beginners?

The Millennia is the usual starting point — online cashback, a waivable fee, and accessible eligibility for salaried applicants.

Is HDFC Infinia worth the fee?

Only if you're a high spender who uses the SmartBuy travel portal, unlimited lounge access and concierge. Otherwise Regalia Gold gives most of the travel value for far less.

What CIBIL score do I need for an HDFC card?

Aim for 750 or higher for premium cards. Entry cards can approve lower scores, but a healthy CIBIL plus stable income gives the best odds.

What is the minimum salary for an HDFC credit card?

Entry cards start around ₹25,000–35,000 monthly income; premium cards like Infinia expect much higher earnings or a strong banking relationship.

How do HDFC reward points and SmartBuy work?

You earn reward points on spends, then redeem them — often at far better value — for flights, hotels and vouchers through the SmartBuy portal, especially on Diners and Infinia.
